How it works

Three steps, no software to install.

  1. 1

    Upload your image

PNG, JPG or WebP up to 4 MB. Flat art with clear edges vectorizes best.

  2. 2

    Set colours and detail

Fewer colours give simpler, cleaner paths. Higher detail keeps small features.

  3. 3

    Download the SVG

Paths are grouped by colour so you can recolour a whole layer in one click.

Tips for better results

  • Start with 4–8 colours for logos; push higher only if gradients matter.
  • Upscale tiny images before uploading. Tracing works on the pixels it is given.
  • Use “remove background” when the artwork sits on a solid colour.
  • Photos convert into posterised art, not photorealistic vectors. That is a limit of vectors themselves.
Guide · 6 minRaster vs Vector: When to Convert an Image to SVG

Image to SVG
questions.

Will a photo convert well?

Photos become a stylised, posterised illustration. Vectors describe flat regions of colour, so they suit logos, icons and flat art far better than photographs.

Is the SVG editable?

Yes. It contains real path data grouped by colour, and opens in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape and any browser.

What happens to transparent areas?

Fully transparent pixels are left empty in the SVG, so your artwork keeps its transparent background.
