Texture to displacement mesh
Bump and displacement textures only fake depth on screen. This tool turns one into real geometry, which you need for close-up renders, 3D printing or engines without displacement support.
How to use the texture to displacement mesh
- 1Add a pictureDrop a PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. A sample image is preloaded so you can see the result straight away.
- 2Tune depth and detailSlide depth for how far shapes rise, and detail for how fine the mesh is. The 3D preview updates live.
- 3Export GLB or OBJ or STLSTL comes out watertight and 100 mm wide, ready for your slicer.
Tips for better results
- Use the greyscale height texture, not the colour map.
- Keep depth low for stone and wood; raise it for bricks and tiles.
From texture to real geometry
- Use the height or displacement map from a material pack, not the base colour map.
- Tileable textures stay tileable: place several meshes side by side for a larger surface.
- For renders, real geometry gives correct silhouettes and shadows at grazing angles, where normal maps fail.
- Keep an eye on triangle count: displacement detail adds up quickly across a big scene.

- No. The preview runs in your browser without an account. You only need a plan to download the result.
- Is my file private?
- Yes. Processing happens on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you save a result to your account.
