STL viewer
Check an STL before you slice it: is it the right part, the right way up, the right size? This viewer opens binary and ASCII STL files and shows their dimensions straight away.

How to use the stl viewer
- 1Open a modelDrop a GLB, glTF, OBJ, STL, PLY, FBX, 3MF, DAE or USDZ file. It stays on your device.
- 2Read the resultsStats appear instantly: triangles, vertices, materials, size and, for closed meshes, volume.
- 3Act on itResize, simplify or convert the model with the related tools below.
Tips for better results
- Dimensions are shown in file units, which slicers treat as millimetres.
- If a model looks inside-out, its normals may be flipped.
Pre-print checks
- Compare the dimensions with your printer's build volume before slicing.
- Look for parts floating in the air. They'll need supports or reorientation.
- Very high triangle counts slow slicers down without improving print quality.
- If the model is tiny, it was probably exported in metres. Use the STL resizer.
